I was going to post this exact response only using Zimbabwe as my country for the joke.
Jesus this board is so hivemind it's crazy.
We need to find some way to pool the smart people on this board together into some money making venture.
But OP to answer your question, it sounds like you are on a fucking shit career track and need a major change. You should be making nearly 100k a year at this point. Look elsewhere for work, usa even. An MBA will not only not help, it will hurt you, time and money wasted.
Every day the market is getting flooded with more degree babies in business. It's skills and balls that are needed, not classroom time and a wastefuck degree.

What role exactly within finance? Finance can range from investment banking director to some bookkeeper at a tiny firm. 37k a year fml bro, definitely need to move to something else more worthy of your expertise.
Can I do finance with an electrical engineering degree?

Undergrad or MS/PhD?
For MS/PhD you might be able to be get a position as a Quant. If you just have an undergrad degree, I'd focus more on something like Business Intelligence or Analytics.

Try and get a recognised qualification such as the CFA or CPA.
