There is a lot of land for sale in my city for $16,000. Its only .11 acre.

I want to buy it, as an investment or maybe even I could put a house on it some day.

I mean I have a full time job and shit so I should be able to get a loan right?

Check zoning, neighborhood, see if there are any development plans which could lower the value of the land (e.g. it's going to be under the expressway in 5 years) and what property taxes you need to pay if any.
