I think this was a correction as investors decided it was overpriced at $120. But medium term prospects look good. 2. Go start reading at Investopedia. Figure out some simple technical indicators and read about fundamental analysis.

3. Go to stockcharts.com free charts, and check out 'above the green line' there.

Basically you're selling the idea that the stock is worth part of the company. The only thing that happens to your money is it is transferred to the person from whom you purchased that stock. Once the optimism of company growth is gone, the stock value dries up because you don't want to be the last one holding shares to a dead company, or have a significant amount of money tied up in options that are depressed for months at a time.

I'm really high so this probably doesn't make sense that this point.

LOOK AT TTS. Better A:L than in past years, and looks like it's ripe for another surge. They finally have enough leverage to recapitalize or pay out in dividends. I need to look at financials leading up to the year of their last big boom and see if their financials were anything like what they look like now

You have to look at it as if their margins are your own. If the company is in debt and youre buying stock you giving them a mini loan with which to fund their operation. Of course as the investor you hope they can turn it around and begin producing a profit which would then increase the company value and your share value. Sometimes it takes years though. So if you sell early then you will never see that return but it didnt disappear. You just gave it away.
