Get a phd and compete for the 5 or so high level collegiate positions that people occupy for a million years.

I suggest getting an actual marketable degree and just getting a minor in philosophy. I majored in math and got a minor in philosophy because it interested me so much that I ended up taking enough classes to get a minor anyway.

At my school Econ was also in the liberal arts school with math and philosophy so that would have been a possibility since a requirement of the liberal arts school was to have a minor with your major.
