You need to build some sort of a following to have something like that viable if you are going to be a independent writer type deal.

Something I have noticed about blogs is that they usually just repeat memes and aren't very helpful. They also tend to be longwinded, I just lose interest.

It is possible many people looking for the exact same thing and using certain niche search terms will find your site and if they find a neat concise compendium about the subjects you are talking about it might be their go to, maybe.
