Why do people keep posting this format thread.

I think the chinese exchanges suspended margin trading.

Futures isn't margin trading.

Also, guess what. Choyna can't short BTC anymore with ridiculous "volume."

Lol good meme.

Monero is the only long term investment that is currently ridiculously undervalued, the rest of the altcoins are just failing attempts at replacing bitcoin whilst bringing no functionality.

ETH has nearly bounced back from its bullrun the first week of january.
It's sitting at nearly 11 dollars and Vitalik is making an announcement at Singapore the 26th, the Chinese New Year starts the 28th, and ETH hash rate is at an ATH.

ETH may teeter-totter for a few days but I gurantee you before february ends it's going to be above $13

Edge to edge works obviously. Ichimoku cloud is a great trend, momentum and target indicator.
Couple it with a volume [MFI/OBV] and volatility indicator [BBands] and technically you're set.

Fundamentally CURE and FLDC are great buys too. I hold FLDC from 85 satoshis.
Already exited CURE, looking for a rebuy zone [mightve been a bad move to sell this early].

Literally do what I am doing and learn by observation and with some play money (like $20-50). You'll learn the in's and out's, what to look for and what tips to trust. I've learned so much in the past couple of days and still am learning.

Can't you invest big money with lotto currencies to make even more money? For example, take your free days to look for tips and currencies very closely and make a great profit (25-50%). Of course this shit doesn't happen every day but it happens pretty often from what I've seen.

Super important question:

Would anyone be interesting in a video explaining how Zcash/Monero/Ethereum/Waves/any other altcoin works?

Is there any other altcoin video you might be interested in seeing, like mining info, investment due diligence, etc? What would you guys want?

Thank you everyone.
>>
>>1759151
Oh yeah, you can totally make a LOT more money by actually studying currencies.

I just drop $5 or so on a shitcoin here and there, fire throw down a sell order and forget about it. A few times a month I log in and I've got anywhere from $20 to $50 in BTC chilling in my wallet, depending on how much I decided I wanted to "invest".

No since now the only way to get a chance is if you had a warehouse full of ASICs. Instead, you should look for fairly new currencies that might seem promising and mine those.

Soon a new coin will be released it will be huge, keep your eyes open , it's a cpu and gpu system for mining , and the main core update to be announced with road map and features. It implements in the next year will be life changing.

you can do solo if you want, idk how to help you there though. pool mining is honestly alright, thats what ive been doing
if you're gonna do pool for the qt miner, you just put in the url for the pool in that blank, put the port in the port one, and so on. the only things to watch out for are on some pools like the one im using for the worker name blank you have to put your user.worker instead of just worker, and also, change the -e 60 at the bottom to -e 100
if you want to solo mine check out the bitcointalk thread, the community is actually really helpful

Factom is a stagnating piece of shit, look for Nautilus and other more "risky" coins. It's much worse to choose stagnation compared to risking a little but also winning it all after that. Getting 15% more in 3 days when you could be doubling exponentially in a matter of 3 hours.

Could you restate your question? It's a little difficult to understand. Are you asking what percentage of btc/alt to diversify for long term holding? If so, what is your idea of long term holding.
>>
>>1770753

Doubling in three hours is pretty hard because most of you never get to sell the top.

Factom will just gradually rise which is better (For my trading style anyways) and easier to trade overall instead of pump and dumps. Also has leverage on polo/bitmex.

>>1770744

XMR, ETH, ETC, FCT, GAM, SC, MAID, STR, DASH, and maybe EXP.

XMR, DASH, STR = Payment Processors that have made headway for Crypto
SC, MAID = Really fucking cool tech
ETH = Leader in dApps
ETC = https://twitter.com/EthereumTrust (Shillbert)
FCT = GatesFoundation likes it and I'm just following smart money here
EXP = 2nd to ETH
GAM = When all the mainstream traders get into crypto, they're gonna buy into a group and GAM is the maybe the best crypto group out there and they burn supply often enough.

>>
>>1774084
I think you should. Xmr just doesn't have the versatility, it's a one trick pony, Eth can be adapted to anything blockchain related. It's the perfect coin.

Xmr in my opinion is a coin for pedophiles.
>>
>>1774129
XMR is only for the deep web and terrorists. This Etheroll sounds sick, are you gonna buy the tokens?
>>

>>

Yes im going to buy the etheroll ico.

I only have a very small amount of eth due to losing a shitload of money gambling. The etheroll ico will put me on the right side of the roulette wheel so to speak. They also seem like they have a pretty sick product.
>>
>>1774129

By saying something as dumb as xmr is for pedos you show you know fuck all about crypto and no one should listen to your advice.

Your autism coin is dead, the eth shilling is about two years too late.
>>
>>1774144
I'm 40% ETH and 60% XMR now. I have faith in both, but if xmr's price wants to rise, there need to be dnm busts, so that people get interested in xmr.
>>
>>1774144
It is though. It's a currency with one feature only. It claims to be anonymous (it isn't really ringCT is a honeypot) luring in pedos to use it so they can be busted.

Ethereum is a programmable blockchain. Which can adapt to any situation. My money is with ethereum not xmr aka pedodollars.
>>
>>1774269
>it isn't really ringCT is a honeypot
Let's see your source for that. Zcash is dead as soon as zsnark gets ported to Ethereum, but it comes at a large hardware requirement cost. RingCT on the other hand is great for low resource machines like IoT devices.
The real killer feature would be if Ethereum was forked as a new coin to support ringCT. That way you have an always anonymous (assuming it also implements i2p) smart blockchain.

No, because forking a blockchain to include a NSA honeypot fake feature would be retarded.

Ethereum can incorporate zksnarks yes that is true, it can incorporate any feature of any coin rendering all other cryptocurrencies obsolete. Once casper is implemented it will have solved all the problems that bitcoin has faced in regards to transactions per second. And sharding will solve the blocksize problem. Ethereum is at the cutting edge of blockchain R&D and no coin can at this point, catch up.

Better buy some before your shitcoins are rendered obsolete.

Up down less than 10% for months then way up and way down.

I think someones grabbing a bunch of coins waiting for the inevitable POLO add. (May be a year but, it'll happen.)

Did you manage to catch the FLDC pump & dump in September? Plus if you caught Pot too you could have been swimming in money if you had an initial investment.
10k = 150k = 1.5 million.

You swindled me.

has anyone tried Tether.to to buy USDT with bitcoin? it seems to not require ID if youre just depositing and withdrawing btc/usdt but it doesnt say what the limits are.

Faucetbox has been down for months. Update your pasta.

>>1766898
Yeah, it's a scam, but we're scamming the Chinese so it's a good thing
>>
How do I buy bitcoins without the government knowing about it? I'm not doing anything illegal, I just want privacy.

There's localbitcoin but everyone on there has ridiculous markups and crazy minimums.
>>
>>1783575
Check trade volumes- it's been all CNY for months. Chinese are abandoning the Yuan because they know it's not worth the paper it's printed on. That surge in demand is the price hike we're seeing.

Eventually, they're going to want to get their money back out into fiat. At that point it will fall again.

This makes me wet man.i'll catch one p&d soon, i have the money and then i am living a modest life to the end
>>
>>1784009
try out bitsquare. Expect to pay 1-5% markup
>>
>>1783912
Nope, I just do this for a few weeks now. But I managed to get in to a few pumps so I tripled my money. Too bad I only had like $160 to start, but I guess that's why I dared to risk it a few times.
But still in FLDC, SC and BURST waiting for them to go to the Moon! Also bought NEOS
>>
anyone here a ZcashFags?

Is now a good time to buy DOGE?

Also, is there a strategy you guys use that consistently cranks out profits--no matter how small?

Poloniex is the best place to trade altcoins right ? I can just go make an account and start today ?
>>
>>1786496
yes, as long as you have bitcoin to deposit
>>
>>1786496
You can also try Bittrex, it's less shit than Yobit.

But overall I advice keeping an eye on worldcoinindex for EVERYTHING.

>>1786407
I could use some. A relative of mine is giving me around 10k to turn my life around and I'd like to invest it decently.

I wish I knew about Naut, Boolberry, FLDC, POT exactly when they pump and dump.
>>
>>1787262
with that kind of money i wouldnt fuck with altcoins or shit coins. there's good money to be made but there's safer money to be made with stocks
>>
>>1787052
All right. If I buy bitocin on bitit I'll be able to make a deposit ?
Sory I'm really knew at all this.

My friend purchased $400 of bitcoin on coinbase and after a week his coin is gone.

Ive been trying to get him set up with a hardware esque wallet to avoid this retarded shit but I were too late.

Am I fucked?
>>
SiaCoin hasn't done much since it tanked a few months ago. Why is it being mentioned so much here again?
>>
bitcoin-related insider information still available. post emails
>>
>>1787519

>>
>>1787763
why do you need emails? just post it on here
>>
>>1787519
your friend is retarded then. how do you lose $400 worth of BTC in a week.
>>
If I may direct your attention to my thread here:

>>1788858

Can someone tell me if this is legit? Is Bitkong and online bitcoin gambling in general worth it? (via Martingale strategies or something similar)
>>
>>1787519
I just set up a wallet with coinbase?

Am I fucked or should I just open up a different wallet somewhere else and forget about it?

Will it matter at all in the long run?
>>
>>1767634
It'll probably be worth $100 in about 20 years if nothing happens to kill bitcoin entirely.
>>
>>1788996
Coinbase is fine. I wouldn't keep the bulk of your coins in any online wallet though. You can use it to purchase coins, and their BTC backed debit card (called Shift) is pretty neat. But I wouldn't use them for anything beyond those two things. Keep most of your BTC in a laminated password protected paper wallet. Make sure you have a copy somewhere very safe just in case too.
>>
>>1789046
Why though? I am curious. I want to understand what the risk here is compared to a typical bank account. As far as I know, and I may be very wrong, Coinbase is completely insured, so I'm just curious.

Also, is it a good idea to trade on their GDIX exchange thing instead of buying directly through Coinbase and holding?
>>
>>1789052
If you are okay with another entity technically owning all your BTC and being able to control your access to it, then I guess there is no problem. However, I personally do not trust any other entity with that. It's easy enough just to keep a paper wallet and transfer funds around as needed.
