Are payday loans really that bad?
I had a family emergency and lent more money that I should. I'm considering taking out a 200 dollar loan. I can afford to pay it back on the first of feb.
I hate the idea of borrowing money from people.

they try to underscore the cost of the payday loan in the paperwork
from a payday loan FAQ
>Payday loans range in size from $100 to $1,000, depending on state legal maximums. The average loan term is about two weeks. Loans typically cost 400% annual interest (APR) or more. The finance charge ranges from $15 to $30 to borrow $100. For two-week loans, these finance charges result in interest rates from 390 to 780% APR. Shorter term loans have even higher APRs.

>Spend 60 to get 200
Fuck that noise I literally have 0 dollars.
It depends what for really. If you want to start a business or want cash now, it's a bad idea, but if it's an emergency then maybe

Would you borrow money from the bank at 186% interest?

I don't understand how people can be so poor that they need to borrow $200 dollars.
I mean if you're borrowing 100k to start a business that's one thing but $200 bucks? Just ask a friend or family member.

I could lend you the money. You would need to pay me $240 back on the first. What is your employment situation?
I'm dead serious and have done this before.

Not op but if I was confident enough I'd do this, how do you know someone won't take the money and run? What method do you use to send them money?
>>1740336
Driver's license copy, picture of last pay stub, executed promissory note.

Wouldn't the cost of legal action be greater than $240?
>>1740336
id imagine they would use paypal or something with buyer protection.

That sounds like a great idea.
I make 1240 every two weeks, get paid on the last day of the month and the 15th.
