22, shit job, 10k in the bank. Should I learn a trade or fall for the STEM meme? I'm interested in electrical engineering
If you like electic things then you are one of the few lucky ones who enjoy that kind of shit, go study engineering.

Not really but I'm very good at math.

build time machine rewind 2 months, invest in trumpcoin
>electrical engineering
saturated.
study mechanical engineering

U can do a technical degree and be a tradie engineering tech
electrical engineering is more power distribution where if you do an electronics engineering tech degree you would focus more on electronics and shit up to you bub
i'm doing a bachelors in engineering technology and don't regret it at all, the labs are fun, tuition is 4k/yr and I can sit for my P.E. after a like 7 years anyway so it's not any different than an engineering degree in terms of employment opportunity
this video really sold me on engineering technology https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u494nUX7MIQ
just make sure you pick a quality program if you can sit for your PE in your state

>Implying I dont have a job
>>1735509
I heard bad things about technologists not being "real engineers but Thanks anon
>>1735499
<Implying mech eng isnt saturated also
>>1735541
depends on your state and the curriculum
if you can get a PE then who the fuck cares
besides you will have a lot of skills from a tech degree, check it out but don't get a shit program
P.E. is all that matters and most industries outside of civil don't need it.
I have to take calc up to linear algebra/diff equations & fluid mechanics among other things so it's still got a lot of the theory

Tuition is 4k a year??? Where you from anon??

>associates @ CC
>transfer to a regional campus for big uni
>regional campus offers bachelors
>regional campus is basically CC
>tuition only cost CC price
>when I graduate I'll graduate with a BS from a reputable school with no mention of my CC or regional campus
