I think most people in these threads think ritalin (and hence concerta) is garbage.
I've got years of experience with both ritalin and dex and I don't feel there's much difference.

Phentermine is an amphetamine, what does curb appetite, but also helps with focus and just overall productivity. It really works for me. In the US I believe it is required to get a prescription, but you can probably get it under the guise of helping to lose weight which is probably easier to come by. For me, one is enough for a 12-hour period of intense work. And I can feel residual effects leaking into the next day.
