How come I can print money on demand at an atm but I'm not allowed to do it at home?

Its only illegal if they catch you do it.

the money isn't actually printed inside the ATM you idiot. there's just a little guy in there who makes a shuffling sound and then pushes the money out of the slot. THAT's where your service charges go, dummy.
i'm pretty well read, and i listen to bill burr's podcast, and he's always shilling for a company that lets you print your own postage stamps from home. postage is pretty official and if they can do it with stamps, then they can do it with money.
if this happens, then Pitney Bowes will be the company that implements it, and they will literally rule the world. we will be living in Pitney Bowes branded superdomes like from that movie Logan's Run and Pitney Bowes will decide when you live and when you die (i.e. after you live out your usefulness to Pitney Bowes Corp.)
and i for one will welcome this new world, and will relish my new work turning the proverbial hamster wheel in exchange for food pellets and supercredits.
