My best friend lives in Florida. He made a dumb decision by getting a degree in a pretty useless field, and now he's both overqualified for minimum wage jobs and underqualified for everything else. He's submitted his resume to probably at least a thousand places over nearly a year and they all rejected him. He feels like he's looked at every possible option and is now seriously considering doing amateur porn simply because nothing else is working works.
How do I help him? I don't like seeing him suffer but we talk almost every day and I can't take hearing about this anymore. I'm completely out of suggestions, nothing works.

Have him learn about stocks, have him spend several months legit learning about the stock market and how to time his entry, exit, etc from legit people like Clay Trader, Tim Sykes, Tim Grittani, Paul Scolardi, etc.
Then introduce him to the Robinhood forum on /biz.
He'll likely lose money at first but over time he may start making like $100 a week, maybe eventually $1,000 a week or even more. Then he'll have enough to quit the retail job he took out of desperation and trade full time
Oh and he might have to hide that useless degree when applying to the jobs he's overqualified for.
