I lost my wallet. Someguy found it took out the money and threw it back on the ground. After that I found my wallet
I had bank card in my wallet it's still there. There wasn't any peace of paper that said whats the pin. Should I still lock my card?

yes - they can run it as a credit
>>1657085
Its a debit card. How do they do that?

>Its a debit card
Quickly cancel your card right fucking now. You won't get compensated for losses
>>1657138
you fucking press credit on the checkout terminal numbnuts
>>1657148
I never understood this. its not a credit card, so why the option?
also not all places allow this

unfortunately the only safe and right thing to do would be to cancel it right now.
Thankfully money is still here.
Like I said it's a debit card, swedbank. I live in Lithuania and its not a credit card. So I was just wondering how would you go about getting credit with my card if you only know the numbers on the card. (I still have the card)
i'll cancel the card just to be safe
It'd be better to be on the safe side.
On the other hand - if they wanted to use your card, why go through the effort of returning it to exactly where they found it? They'd take the car, throw the wallet down, use the card and dispose of it somewhere else. Going back to the scene of the crime is retarded and wouldn't affect their purchase.
On the technical side it would probably depend how they would use the card without a pin. If they used the chip (which afaik requires the pin) and then returned the card (since they cannot copy the chip) the payment would already show up on your account. But if they used the magnetic strip (aka swiped it) or copied it (which is very easy) you could always claim someone at a store carded you without your knowledge. It does happen. You have the original card and whoever uses the duplicate shows up as a different person on camera footage or signatures or whatever so I see no reason why the bank wouldn't have to believe you.
Papertrail-wise - if you go to the police to report the stolen money you should definitely report the card to the bank as well since you can't hide losing your wallet.

Cancel it, definitely. Especially if VISA.

Sorry. Not relevant to this issue. Stoned.
But yeah, cancel it.
