Biz, I'm doing decent in my career as a construction apprentice, im good at my job hanging off the side of buildings, taking measurements, doing math is easy, but I keep worrying about interacting with people and looking like a fucking retard in front of everybody when I'm asked simple questions. I can't look people in the eye or else my anxiety acts up.
>tldr how do I show people I know what I'm doing and stop making my coworkers think I'm a dumbass
Meditate, hold eye contact. What is the worst that can happen? Develop outcome independence, where no matter if you think you said something weird or off, it doesn't affect your day and work to cultivate a more positive atmosphere among your team and mutual respect for your coworkers.
You're a greenhorn, you're supposed to look like a dumbass.
Honestly wouldn't stay it unless you're a major sperg. It's construction, not a cubicle. Your coworkers will probably only label you a retard if you do and say retarded things. Focus on getting the job done.

Thank you so much, you've helped me more than you'll probably ever know.

No problem man. I had social anxiety too despite being an actor. I take a light dose of benzos if I think it'll be bad but otherwise just hold my ground.
