ehhhhh I dunno man, I wouldn't buy a print unless it's a lithograph, woodcut, or something really unique.
he may be a good artist to invest in, (I've never heard of him, and unsurprisingly so, this is a /biz/ board, not a /art/ board). You got a CV of the guy. Show me what galleries he's displayed at, what collections he's part of: that will tell you if it's a good investment.

You have to buy from a known / reputable dealer, or an artist that's about to be picked up by one. The big dogs only buy from big dealers.
Also artists that have exhibited or sold to a museum. Do research

That artist is garbage by the way, there are tens of thousands of artists like him that will never make a splash, and their prices will stay stagnant, the freakier the better in art.
Judging by what your post, art investing is probably not for you

Buy something from the book '100 painters of tommorrow' or equivalent
That is not an investment anon. That is a lottery.
However, if you want to make some money, get authentic Robert Crumb lithographs etc. That dude has a lot of respect all over, and when he dies those prices are gonna bounce.
