I'm trying to learn how to research stocks on my own and figuring out how to read the charts. Where do you guys find information on possible meme stocks? What are some resources that can teach me how to read charts and teach me about the basics?

Stock screener is usually a first start. Then you have to sift through why characteristics you think will make a meme stock.

The other stuff inevstopedia helps and just general google searching to get material.

A word of advice: just put suggestions on a watchlist (I use Stocktwits mostly just for that) and pay attention to action in pre-market and at open. That's generally better than trying to hold overnight in anticipation that something will meme off, which seems to be a common mistake for people here.

PTN has a huge float and is about to get much bigger with the shares they are putting out there. Ive seen stock price drop due to dilution and i've seen share price climb while diluting, some companies want to sell the shares they are "Authorized" to sell at a higher price then what the market is at and will try to get the stock price up. PTN could be good, AFTER they sell their shares out into the market and let the market digest it.
