What is a qualification I can learn in a few months that will allow me to earn more than minimum wage?
Becoming an electrician or a plumber requires about 2 years of trade school or an apprenticeship and I probably won't be able to get that. Is there some marketable skill I can learn quickly and easily so I am not living paycheck to paycheck and end up losing all my savings whenever I am unemployed?

>Go to a temp agency.
>Be intelligent enough to be able to spell your name on a piece of paper.
>Get job that pays ~1.4-1.5 times minimum wage
Is that job going to suck? Yes, but itll be more than minimum wage, no "skill" required

I am actually learning javascript, html and css but all the jobs I can find in my area talk about offering positions to graduates and such.
Are there any jobs like web developer that will hire anyone who can demonstrate they know a language by uploading their work to github or something. I'm worried this might be a pipe dream. I mentioned this in another thread.

thanks for the suggestions, not sure I can work in healthcare with a criminal record (weed) but driving a forklift is an idea

not sure if this will work in my area, I have gotten work from a temp agency before but it was minimum wage in a warehouse. It would feel weird sending my empty CV to a temp agency
You can do a pharm tech in under a year, or phlebotomist course in literally a couple of afternoons I think.
