What are the profit margins for selling homemade fireworks? Mostly stuff like smoke bombs, firecrackers and fountains.

Probably not much because a lot of fireworks are illegal, and the ones that are legal are easily accessible through the kiosks they have around 4th of July. How are you going to advertise?
Why would anyone, ever buy homemade explosive devices?
Seems like a great way to blow your fingers off.

I'd go through word of mouth. since it's kinda niche I'd find a base of frequent buyers.
also i have a license lol
what if we just called them regular fireworks. we sell and ship online in kits where they can build it them selves. this way, we don't have to deal with explosives legal issues and stuff like that.
a set will be some sticks. some tubes. some boom boom powder that is unactivated. some sort of salt to act as an activator when mixed. and then some fuses.
package into one set. insert proper use manual, safety and caution sheet, maybe and a legal document stating we are not liable for any damage to property, persons, etc. etc.
advertise on ebay, amazon, yada yada yada. maybe invade the physical store market.
order supplies from alibaba to get them cheap in mass orders. sit home build, sell enjoy, grow.
forgot we should get a patent on the idea also
