Does anyone own a business here? One of the stipulations before I get a license to operate my business is to sign up for general liability insurance, with a minimum coverage of $1,000,000. How much does general liability coverage cost per month? Every time I try to get a quote from a big name insurer they say contact the agent, and when I try to I never can get a hold of one.

Your lawyer should be doing shit like this for you, either get a lawyer if you don't already have one or get a better lawyer if you already have one

Go to an independent insurance broker. They do this all the time and will figure it all out.

I own a telecommunications business. We install cell sites on top of towers. I'm required to have 1m gen liability, 1m auto, 5m umbrella policy and my insurance runs about 30k per year after 5 years in business but my first year it was more like 3k/month

I have 2 liability policies.
both are $2 mil general aggregate,
$2 mil PCO
$1 mil personal and advertising injury
$1 mil each occurrence limit
$100k buildings
$5k medical
one has $0 payroll and costs $1200/year.
the second has $175k payroll and costs $3800/year.
both are through the same insurance agent that handles my car and homeowners insurances.
Depending on your line of work and payroll it shouldn't cost that much. Should be easy to find, I constantly get offers for quotes from most of the major insurance companies.
