Is it too far-fetched to learn programming from scratch and git gud enough to be able to work remotely in, say, two years of constant work?
I'm a wage-slave in a third world country so working remotely for a company in a rich country would be a dream come true.
Am I delusional?
Are all those videos about how everyone can code just a meme? i.e. shit like this:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvAsqPbz9Ro [Embed]

You can wageslave for a few months sure. You'll spend years more finding a job and then you'll be let go.

I don't understand what you're trying to say here.

lol that video makes computer programming looks so easy when its hard as fuck. I majored in computer programming because of that video ad now I want to kill myself. Dont think you get to create fun games or use your imagination. You'll be stuck 12hrs a day staring at computer doing a bunch of math and writing until your brain wants to explode. You'll also have no social life besides the nerds you work with that are very competitive and will try to sabotage you in any way.

Yup. You can get a junior dev job within a few months if you work at it all day every day. The only problem is that remote work is harder to find as a beginner. It'd be easier to find a local job first, then transition to remote.
Or you can freelance.
Your best bet is front end web development, you can progress fast here and find a job relatively quickly, there is a literal fuckton of web dev jobs. I used FreeCodeCamp, it's excellent, but there's The Odin Project and some others you can find at /g/. GL anon
