Has /biz/ heard of the Disney College Program? It is genius. These fuckers basically had a bunch of really shitty jobs no one wanted (ie cleaning shit out of toilets and hotel rooms) so they invented this Disney """internship""" as a """cast member""". College students are now literally applying for the opportunity to get experience cleaning shit out of toilets at Disney Land getting paid minimum wahe after getting a higher education degrees. How in the hell did they pull this shit off?
The Disney dogma is strong.
You gotta get your foot in the door somehow. It's a competitive world out there. And a degree doesn't necessarily mean that you deserve a job.
I've heard rumors that the dorms the interns stay in are basically fuckfests

Wiping up feces doesn't make you more qualified for a damn thing.

I heard they borrowed some of the people who run the SeaOrg for their management team.

True.
I did the program and it was pretty much a crap shoot. Half the people got bona fide internships. I worked in revenue management for 19/hr - not huge money but okay for an internship. I know a guy who made $10 an hour running a timeshare information booth in the park which was grim.
As long as they get to say that they worked at Disney on their resume I guess...
