Unless your time is worth less than minimum wage, why would anybody do laundry in their own home instead of a laundromat?

Most people do not stockpile 8 loads worth of dirty laundry at a time. That's disgusting. Also most people don't fucking sit in front of the luandry machine doing jack shit while waiting for it to finish.
might be the dumbest thread i've ever seen.

Doing laundry at home requires very little human time - once you start the machine, it usually doesn't require any intervention at all until it's finished, so you can go away and do something else.
im not a stupid poorfag who has a tiny washing machine that only does 1 load at a time....who the fuck uses laundrymats besides niggers, spics and single moms..oh, and crackheads

2 loads = $13/hour
3 loads = $9.75/hour
4 loads = $8.67/hour
and so on
also i do like 4 loads of towels a week because theyre hueg

there is a machine in my building but it's too slow, too small and often used by the other tenants. my son and i have a lot of laundry and i don't like sitting there for a day doing it

because for most people, the time they spend not working IS worth less than minimum wage.

The question was "...why would anybody do laundry in their own home..." not "why would anybody do laundry in the laundry room of their apartment complex..."
>>1622718
how much are you spending on clothes?
all the clothes I wear regularly fit into one load

>talking about the importance of saving time

Why are you doing 8 loads of laundry all on the same day?
If you spread it out, ie start a load right when you wake up, then shower, you can throw it in the dryer while you're making breakfast. Then fold it before work. Or perhaps right when you get home you can start the load, dry it during that evening.
Sure you can do all the loads in one hour at a laundromat, but if you do it smarter not harder, doing it at home for free is good too. Multitasking is a skill.
Ya dumb fuck.
>put clothes in washing machine
>press some buttons
>go do other shit
It takes 2 minutes to do your laundry at home.

I'd rather do it all at once. When you have children your time is at a premium and you don't always have the option to do laundry for an entire day
Are you staring at the machine the entire time? You can do something else you know...
Load laundry at home...5 minutes.
Transfer from washer to dryer...5 seconds.
Take out from dryer and sort....5 minutes.
Go watch TV or have a meal in between.

>8 loads
WHY

4 loads of towels, dress shirts, random casual clothes (underwear, undershirts, etc), 1 or 2 loads for my son since he can get messy
