Trillion isn't even that much money. You can't do shit with 1 trillion.

With a billion dollars you could buy the 1-3 years treasury bond etf, basically the safest investment you could make. You would receive $6.7 million a year in just dividends. If you wanted a little more risk you could buy the Vanguard Wellesley Income fund that is about 35% large cap value and 65% investment grade bonds. You would get about $25 million a year just in dividends. I think I could live just fine with a billion dollars.
