This is a thing? How does one get this job? What do they do?
>>
>>1611231
They make up problems and then jot up solutions for them.

Oh and if you actually have an issue no one will help you.
>>
>>1611231
sound like the step up from HR...
>>

>This is a thing?
Yes.
>How does one get this job?
Shame a company full of productive white people into paying you a salary so they feel more "diverse" and/or to shut up the tumblr hordes who excoriate them for being too white.
>What do they do?
Don't get in the way of the company actually doing whatever it is that it does.
>>
>>1611238
Pretty much.

The "everyone can (should?) get a degree" mindset collided with the idea that some people were just dumb therefore need easy degrees and because degrees are investments in skills, they ended up being less skilled (aka problematic) than when they started. Like investing money in cars: they don't appreciate.

So they had to be given jobs to pretend they're contributing some value or else there's no return for their "skills."

They were given the HR jobs, thus leading to a dynamic where their greatest power is controlling employment.

Step down.

The common denominator is western, this is a result of Marxist academia subversion targeted at whatever they deemed capitalist.
>>
>>1611761
Eh. In theory HR IS a good thing.....

But it's heavily bastardized now and only a detriment to both the company and individual employees or wouldbe employees.
>>
>>1611765
It is a very good thing provided the idea of what HR changes. Having a group of people in a far away office is a bad thing, having one person who handles recruitment for the team and is therefore accountable to their own team (and also handles invoices/remittances/payments/paperwork) would be awesome.

Having a group of people who hire amongst their sociology and *-studies degrees will just foster that sort of culture in a place that doesn't need to exist which for some reason has powers over who comes in and out of your company. This is an incredibly bad idea, like, "oh my God would you like to crash this company please?" idea. Marxism is the sort of ideology that does everything it can to undermine and subvert capitalism so it's no surprise it only has a negative effect.

But again, having one person be HR in my office would be awesome. Having a team to do HR for the entire company and all its branches would be hell.

That is all.

Don't hire a HR team.

You give these firms too little credit, more like:
>Do research that supports the theory that inclusiveness and diversity positively impact the bottom line
>make token hires so they look like they practice what they preach.
>Open up an entire new way to scam companies into consulting services

It's the root of savvy marketing: create a problem that wasn't there then sell the solution.

The era of the SJW world and SJW workplace is at it's end.

And the election of Trump is the opening of a new chapter.
>>
They deter lawsuits.
>>
>>1611827
Exactly. The whole point of HR is to prevent employees from suing the company. Anyone who thinks they are just some SJW mission has absolutely zero business sense (i.e., most of /biz/)
