I've had a boss that occasionally got like this. All my coworkers were like that fat beta cow.

things were going good for him until I left. a month later 3/4 of the remaining workforce quit.

Coworkers were always joking about how I was gonna get fired first because I called the boss out on his bullshit. Eventually I realized it wasn't worth staying with a company that stagnates due to psychiatric issues.
