You need to sell yourself more.
When initially emailing the company state the top 3-4 reasons that makes you superior to the competition. Then a day or two later, follow up with a phone call. During the interview, dont just answer their questions. Give them reason to select you. Reiterate your best qualitys, and what you would bring to the table if they hire you.
