How do I get started?
I'm unemployed and need a trickle of income.
How do I start something profitable? How do I know what idea is worth going after? How do I get that one idea? How do I get and stay motivated?
I have a friend who is much younger than me and he started an indiegogo campaign that is at 250% funding with 10 days left. He met his initial goal in less than a week. It's inspiring and disappointing all at the same time.

Buy real estate in London. I promise I won't kill your account for it.
You need money to make money.
Them's the breaks.
Even if it's something simple you'll need some amount of money to get started. There are very few ways to make money with nothing and the ones that exist are usually not worth the effort/time for the pay out you receive.
The same thing is said in every passive income thread or self employment/entrepreneur thread. It takes hard work to get to a point where it's easy.
And there will still be work depending on what you're business is.
Don't fall for the "buy real estate and chill" meme either. Even if you're a slum lord you will still have shit that has to be done. Same for a legitimate landlord or selling properties. If you're not on your shit, shit will happen to you.
And Indiegogo and all those other beg sites are not ways to live. You are being given money to produce a product with those funds and it's no enough to sustain you. Your buddy will burn through most of that money guaranteed. It happens all the time and if he does produce what he's selling he's gonna get fucked.
