Automation has no threat on my job. Warehouses would have to automate first, plus the automation of the plethora of other tasks involved in the trucking industry, which hasn't changed for decades. Would love to see a self tarping flatbed trailer though and self driving truck. I'd buy one.

I started out as a upper class academic(STEM) and in my late twenties decided to work full time as a knife maker and blacksmith. It pays reasonable and the job is far more satisfying than anything I've done or could have ever done with my degree. I love every single day working in this field.
