good luck bro HAHHAHA
I own a dry carpet cleaning business on the side. It's just me and the property managers text me when and what units. I do probably 6-800 apartments a year and a hundred houses. If you aren't a fucking loser and are good at talking then you can get majority of property managers in your area. Plus I can do it cheaper than wet carpet cleaners cause it's just me. Pros: make money Cons: some houses are Shiiiit

Oh, and I'm LLC'd and spent probably $8,000 on all my equipment and a few hundred for spray/cleaning shit a month.
Why a cleaning business in particular? It depends on the demand in your area and there is rarely demand for low skill labor.
It isn't cash only.
My Dad owns a janitorial company cleaning for businesses. You bid for contracts and are usually paid monthly or quarterly. Also nobody's going to hire your service without liability insurance. Do you have experience with invoices?
