Hello /biz/
I was hoping you all could give me some advice.
I'm wanting to try and buy things at wholesale and turn around and sell them online. For more obviously.
But I've never done it before.
I thought of buying a lot from an online store like Alibaba and reselling on Amazon.
But my problem with that is it seems too easy to work. I mean, if it were that simple to turn a profit; everyone would do it.
What am I missing? What do you really need to do to make a profit in that type of business?
I think a fair few people on here actually do something like this so I'm sure they could help you.
I don't know myself but from what I understand it's an absolute shitload of work if you get decent size and start making serious money.
Think it just comes down to how committed you are

Thanks
I don't mind the hard work and have a lot of free time to do what needed to be done. I do work 40 hours a week but it's on a set schedule so I could work around it.
I just dont wanna get involved and not make any money

I think you can try earphones and phone cases.
Did you think of selling in your city, to your friends, etc. ? Maybe to a store ?

I live in an extremely small town so I doubt that is an option. I would probably have to set up a booth at a flea market. I hate flea markets and I think it's hard to turn a profit there.
I could also get a booth during the yearly festivals. But theres only a couple of those.
But you think I could phone cases and earphones on Amazon?

That's the risk you take man. If it was guaranteed money, everyone would do it. Set aside some money you're willing to risk, and go for it. Might win, might lose, but either way you'll learn something.
