I want to take a year and travel the US.
I'm 20 making 25/hr. I'm gonna save for the next few years and then go.
Would a year gap in employment hurt my resume?

why bother, in case of nuclear Armageddon unless you are in western texas or Oregon you are dead according to your own pic
Wouldn't hurt. Just proactively bring it up in an interview or have a job lined up for when you return. Ask your current employer if you can take a "leave of absence". Some are cool with it, depends on the business.

No, don't proactively bring up a negative. Unless casually explaining it away when they ask you those stupid personal questions like "what do you like doing." " I like taking a full year off gainful employment not talking to counts like yourself. Be sure to say it with just a hint of a smile.
>making 25/h
I am making 15/day working 8 hours.
Brazil, not even once.

a year gap will not hurt your employment on your resume.
Depending on your wording you can add things you learned on your travels. Otherwise you can supplement your work skills by taking an updated college course when you come back.
As an added bonus you could research cities that are having 1 day seminars along your path through the states
