I work full time state job as municipal police officer. I have masters degree in resocialization. This year I had a raise and two promotions. At this moment I make around 330-350 euro a month. I work holidays, weekends, nights, everything including 12h shifts. Now to the end of this month I won't have 2 days off in a row.

I have read a lot of investing books, about quitting wageslaving etc. I would love to do something to achieve a little of that happiness called financial freedom. But how can I escape that fucking circle of death that I have now? Any ideas, advices?

How is it possible that white man who wants to study, learn, work hard and contribute to society is punished by earning 330 euro a month and people are getting 300-1000 euro a month of social benefits without working any hour? What kind of socialism is this?

I am not alone, there are many people like me here where I live. I am starting to rage slowly.

I tried to change the job so I could earn more money and after some time of saving start investing or some small business. But I failed miserably.

I live in poland, I work here, I was born here but I do not feel a pollock. I despite that nation for more than several things. But it's a looong talk or explanation.

I wish I was born somewhere else where thinking, being scientific isn't punished by rage and madness etc.

Basically, you will pay tax for every 1 square meter of your land that is not natural grass/ground/earth etc. If you have 20 square meters of pavement/sidewalk that leads to your home you will pay the tax for that 20 square meters. If you have 200 square meters of that, you will pay for 200.

Simple as that. If you have grass, you do not pay. If you have sidewalk, road, anything - you pay for ever single square meter.

But our politics are thinking about us, humble people that voted for them! You won;t pay for house! All hail socialism!

The explanation is that the rain that falls on for example sidewalk is not soaking into the ground and we can gather it so we have to pay tax for that.

I will try to explain better.

We also have this tax in Slovakia but it is built-in to the water and sewage fee. Water bill is variable and you pay for what you consume. Sewage fee is constant and you pay for number of connections to the municipal sewage (the fee can vary from municipality to municipality and may be different for households and businesses but its a flat fee).

To me it seems this is a variation of this ordinary fee I believe everyone in developed world pays but with some tweaks and unfortunate name. Key differences:

>you pay by square meters of developed land, not a flat fee
Makes sense since larger non-absorbant areas funnel more water into municipal drains. 200sqm house with 50sqm concrete parking lot will catch 5x more rainfall and use 5x the infrastructure capacities than 50sqm house with gravel parking lot. Its much more fair.

>it is more of a environmental tax than infrastructure tax
This is supposed to deter from draining rainfall away to the receptors such as rivers because the water will be lost forever in the sea. It should be an incentive to use materials that allow the water to soak in the ground rather than fuck off to the gutters. Water security will be a huge issue in upcoming decades if we keep draining all the water away.

So its not that bad really.

I read, work out on the clock, develop bydlocode on my laptop, socialize with patrons, travel on TDY "training" lel (fully paid), educate myself while getting paid ~$3700 per month. It's pretty manageable

I'm 3 months out of university graduated with engineering degree. Make 5100 a month.

I am trying to figure out how to start a second income. A small business like event bartending on weekend or learning to make a website and making ad money. I think trading stocks is a waste of time and the smart way to use stocks is to play the long game and let the morons day trade (gamble) their money away
