Hard work brings good luck.

That's pretty much it. Never in my life has hard work ever backfired. You can critic that and say some of the time you wasted when working hard is a cost, but those time that working hard saved my ass later down the road payed off in my opinion. And it didn't only save my ass, it gave me lots of skills in the workplace, allowed me to network easily, and benefited me in more ways that I remember.

Another philosophical motto that I tend to hold myself to is "Drive the work or the work drives you". This one has more meaning in management or sales, but it's a good rule to live by because if you get behind on your management tasks or are only doing the bare minimum you're going to eventually get fucked by something you don't see or will be so overwhelmed you'll be lucky to not lose your job.

Work hard at working smart and, most importantly, don't throw good money after bad.

>What life philosophy do you have in order to succeed? Or do you think this sort of general approach will always be wishy washy bs?

the business approach my partner and I have is the following:

1) acquire/generate a massive diversity of ideas, milk them out of other people if necessary

2) investigate ideas for market readiness, present realization cost minus present subsidization potential, personal competitive edge and realization risk

3) order and insert the files into the existing archive and implement it from the top.

Now this is a general approach and I don't think it's wishy washy at all.

put money from your left pocket into your right pocket?

if you don't understand that you are employed by your customers, you probably won't make it for long buddy.

Not true whatsoever... working as a director or other higher level worker can easily make a quarter mill +.

CEOs, CFOs etc easily clear 7 figures. This is true for thousands and thousands of companies across the globe.

This is literally the antithesis, what are you talking about? Maybe you should read Ayn Rand again

My philosophy is simply 'aggressively execute your plan'. Even if the plan is subpar, you'll still beat the pants off of a better plan with poor execution.
>>
>>1548641
1) don't be a dick.
2) find something your good at and enjoy doing.
3) things just kinda work out.
4) aim to be self employed. Don't be a wage slave, your not going to make money when your too busy making sombody else money.
>>
>>1550166
but doesn't a poor plan lead to a poor execution?
>>

Are you dense? Your market audience is your goldmine.

The trap most people fall into is finding a system that works and sticking to it because any deviation seems to make things worse, but all the successful people I annoy with my presence seem to have a different attitude, they seem to relish distractions and disruptions that would make most people irritated. They are constantly looking for ways to "cheat" and get things the easy way and they do this by probing different areas and taking risks, alongside working hard and working smart of course.

You might say "what are you saying I should put all my money into a multi-level marketing scheme?", I would argue nearly everything is a scam like an MLM, just gradated for different levels of intelligence. If you stay in the same place doing the same thing for too long you're doing something wrong. It might be that washing dishes is the only way out of poverty, but you're never going to escape from being stuck washing dishes if nothing changes. It is worth it in the long run.

Be prepared to accept criticism, put yourself in difficult situations, step out of your comfort zone and experiment. About 99 times out of 100 it seems pointless and humiliating, but the 1 thing you learn or discover makes it all worthwhile.

Humans are stupid flawed creatures, we all are, this "brute force" experimentation is a good way to stumble across things you'd have never thought of before, and importantly few others have. You can swing above your weight.

Well technically every single musician or actor who's not an indie (which means almost all of the successful ones) has made money by working for someone else.

1) I'm a nice guy.
2) I'm good at making art and I enjoy doing it
3) Things don't work out.
4) Aim to work at McDonalds because otherwise I'll starve.
>>
>>1548641
Everything is meaningless. So, hold onto the emotional drives that make you do things, and have fun doing things. Have fun becoming successful, have fun suffering.
>>
As soon as something feels easy or you get comfy, jump ship. Always strive to do something more difficult than what you are doing.

Succeed how?
>>
>>1550226
No - they are orthogonal. Think about it. Whatever you do (it doesn't matter what really) you can be faster / slower / more/less efficient at it.

A great plan doesn't do you any good if you're a "someday" guy or an "idea" guy, just sitting at home and waiting for "inspiration". But the guy with a mediocre plan who goes out and hustles every day will get somewhere.
