Is there a minimum amount you should have before you start investing?
Apologies if this is a common question, I don't visit /biz/ very often. I'm a poorfag who works a minimum wage job, but by living frugally over the past year I've managed to save about £1000 that's just sitting in my bank account. Is it worth investing that somewhere? If so, are there any simple guides for retards? Ideally I'd like to make some low-risk investments and maybe get something like 5-10% return each year.

Holy fuck. I don't even know how you people get the motivation to get up in the morning and go to a job paying you that little.
Depending on your stability you should keep 1 to 6 months of expenses as liquid as possible for emergencies. After yo have that saved them you could look at opening a brokerage account and investing

Do technical analysis. Its based on patterns, trends and statistical proof.
Most people here do fundamental analysis which is like guess work.
You can increase whatever you put into stocks by 10% every month. The more you put in the more you get out. Its exponential.
Im giving a free lesson if you are interested.

Because if I didn't I'd literally just shitpost on 4chan all day. Just graduated from my MSc but still can't find a good permanent job, so it's wageslavery for me for the foreseeable future.

Right now I'm living rent-free at my parents, so living costs don't really come into it. Not exactly where I wanted to be at the age of 23, but at least I can save money. I have some backup money too, so that £1000 is what I can afford to spend.

>minimum amount
For investing, no.
For trading, yes.
More than you have.
