I was living in Geneva, same rents pretty much, until I found a private guy renting his upper floor for 1.2k. Look for old folks in suburbs they usually have better rates and the area is nicer

Buy a van.
Live in it for several months. Trust me the time will fly past.
Maybe get a gym membership to keep yourself healthy, bonus points for shower and hygine usage.
Save up all the money you would of wasted on rent.
