I hate paying rent. I'm thinking of spending 1.5 mil for a condo in SoHo convince me not to. right now i'm spending 6500 a month on rent

if you can afford it and plan on staying a while you might as well. Condos usually come with association fees which up the price though.

>6500 a month
Just burn your money man thatd be a lot more effecient

Use that money to buy land in the South/Midwest. You can get much more bang for you buck.
>1.5M condo, SOHO
Troll, you're not going to find a condo in SOHO Manhattan for 1.5M, maybe if you head south to Chinatown or east to the LES

I rent a house with 4 bedrooms costing 1500/mo plus utilities. Utilities range from 200 in summer to 400 in winter.
1 room I rent for 600
2 rooms I rent for 500 each.
I turned a space in the house into a room with a plywood foor I rent for 400.
There's the general bullshit associated with finding decent roommates and as such I average my rent out to $350/mo. It's not rent free but living alone in my city is between 1000-1500/mo.
Id rather pay 4200/yr and focus on debts, investments, and saving for a home instead of paying 12000-18000/yr.
