Just pulled out of MGT, NFLX and TWTR

MGT has too much headline shock, and a huge amount of its value is due to the Mcafee name which it may not even get in the lawsuit, I don't know the terms of Mcafee and Intel's deal but it's not going to move until that's resolved, and it could be way down from that. I think there are better plays. I like KKR, it's been recommended to me, have 330 shares, they have a great dividend, looking towards that $25 price target. You guys will probably think I'm crazy conservative but I'm up 7% so far this year.

AMD just put a bunch of their shares on the market so they can pay down debt and the volume of shares sold by them drove the prices down.

Simple supply/demand.

If shares were dictated by actual company value, the share price would have increased ( e.g. your 1 share is 1/1000th of their worth and now it's 1/100th ).
However, shares are more like a commodity who's value come solely from bid/asks, and do NOT actually correlate with the companies current value.

Two things: My own DD and analysis

What I did for DD
Listen to the Q2 conference calls, talks about the direction the company is going for the 2nd half of 2016.
70% of revenue locked in for 2017
Reason the stock is priced at these levels is due to the debt the company has. If you listen to the conference call you will know there's an upcoming non-core asset sale that is expected in the 40-60m range and it will help get some of the debt
This isn't the TL;DR summary but there's a lot more you can find on your own. Start with the q2 conference call

Analysis:
The reason there's horizontal movement is because AMRS is in the middle of a trend change. Once the news of the core asset sale and Q3 earnings (first week of November) the stock price will rise.

Take a look at the Ichimoku chart of AMRS on stockcharts.com, google it if you don't know how to read the chart. Its signaling an upward trend and firm support at a stock price of .40.

/biz/ hates AMRS since its a slow stock but her time will come.

JOHN MCAFEE has a lawsuit going against intel for MCAFEE name. Which intel may or not own. Intel has been struggling against increased competition and the rise of smartphones...blah..blah..blah

INTEL is selling 51% of MCAFEE to a private company. Basically, it makes MGT stronger because it gives JOHN MCAFEE a better chance at using his own name for the company, which is really the reason most of us have invested into mgt in the first place. I think mgt reports earnings mid november. Doesn't really apply since it's basically a new company.

I'm worried about dilution tomorrow from meeting (they gotta pay all these business greats somehow), but as far as getting in on the ground floor of a great startup, this is our time to shine. Everyone sais "wish I bought that 3 years ago when...."

You gotta let the price go to the market price aka supply meet demand. Most of the time, you'll see in many stocks, the price can fluctuate rather quickly at open and after a while the price goes to the market.

As to why a limit, you set the price maximum you'll pay. If you leave it at market you will probably pay more (like 5%) than what the ticker says due to that's what the sellers are "asking"
