Whats wrong with paying people to be your friend?
I know it feels wrong, but what exactly is wrong about it?

Real friends don't need financial incentive to be around you.

you're essentially paying for people's "company" but you'll never be able to call them friends.
No different from having sex with a prostitute.

Because they only like you for your money
It's like a job for them, they do it because they get compensated for it financially but they wouldn't think twice if they weren't.
How would you even pay people to be your friend? How would it work?
>"Hey how about $100 to go to the movies with me this weekend?"
And then you get bored and text them, they don't reply so you say "How about .50 cents per text you reply to me?" and then when you get sick you offer "How about you send me a 'get well soon' card for $50?"
And then when it's your birthday you pay this person $150 to bring you a birthday cake and sing you happy birthday? Is this how you imagine this would work out?
Real Friends > Paid Friends >>>>>>>>>>>[99^99trillion] Solitude
fuck, I did it the other way around, I'm dumb
All relationships are transactional, but it's more comfortable deluding ourselves otherwise.

I can't really tell you exactly why because its more of a feeling of whats "right". If I buy a prostitute for example, she won't actually love me, I'll still come home sad and depressed and I can't really do anything with her other than meaningless sex.
It's like nothing is being changed when you do those things. It's like you're just trying to appeal to others when you should take time to make friends yourself. You shouldn't pay people to make you look good in front of others, and if you're not interested in looking good in front of others then there should be no reason to hire "friends" anyway.
You should find real friends with your interests. If it's really hard, then keep trying over and over "until it clicks." And you'll know when you find the right person to talk to because it will just feel right and you'll be able to talk with them effortlessly for hours on end, no matter how anti-social you are.

Remember Walter White in BB S5 while he was slumming in that Alaskan(?) cabin and he paid that identity guy like 10K for an hour's company. While less money is involved, you'll be no better than that.

Hey, I would pay money for friends.
But only insanely quality intellectual 4 dimensional comrades capable of teaching me how to become like them.
Otherwise it's a complete waste of time because you won't even be capable of having a high level of chemistry with them.
Who needs friends when you have autistic image boards
