Buying property in Latin America or South East Asia.
Anyone done it?
What are the pitfalls?

Why bother?
Brazil needs sovereign ownership I think. There is a loophole where you can create a Corp dump $50K in it and be given a visa. I've not been able to determine the limitations on that visa though.
I did read that if your Corp managed property you could come and go as you pleased - to inspect the property of course.
Nepal.a you have to be born there, or be married to someone who was. A Corp can get land, but for industrial purposes only and has to contribute consistently to the economy - no buy and hold.
For got. SK has some screwy land ownership rules. But I guess if your desperate it can work out for you.
I'm an Australian who buys land everywhere, but love buying chunks of the US when I get a chance.... Building to buy a Texas ranch next.

I'm (essentially) a landowner in Indonesia. Real estate is cheap but you need a local partner or a few grand for the corporation.

BR here
Just have a shell corp in an offshore center which owns a Brazilian legal entity which in turn "manages" a single property
That should do it
