Why shouldn't I study accounting?
I want a job where I don't have to rely on ignorant careless people to get my job done well.
Every job involves jackasses, accounting is fine if you have a passion for it.

Dealing with some clients as an auditor is pure hell. I've had to do many audits on books that were just complete garbage. Recently I was looking at some mystery contra-revenue account that was being charged every month and not a single person in the organization knew what the hell it was for or how it was getting charged. Not even their CPA. Then there's some that just throw all their paperwork into file cabinets randomly and you can't find shit and have to BS some stuff.
But you're expected to get the job done no matter how bad it is or how retarded or uncooperative the client is.

Also as a senior or manager (not hard to reach at a smaller firm, 2-4 years) you will have newbies working under you who suck. They will make mistakes and those mistakes become yours to fix on saturdays instead of going out.
And don't forget clients ignoring your requests for information while the partner is on your ass for the report
