So I want to see what kind of investments companies are making, and I know thats kind of broad, but I want to know how they are using their money so I can see how reliable they are. Is there anyway for me to access that information or do I have to know the president of the company or have access to their files specifically?
Pic unrelated

Just typ "Comany name investor" and the first hit on google will be their investor page.
Example:
http://www.gm.com/investors/index.html
There you just look for the pdf that contains the information you need.
like
http://www.gm.com/content/dam/gm/events/docs/5213624-606837-ChartSet-1-13-2016.pdf
It tells me on page 14 they don't care about taxi anymore, they are planing a lease/rent network in the future and their partner is lyft.
Of course some of these are bullshit bingo but for example when I read the Atari summary I knew they have no fucking idea what to do except selling old francise names one after another.
Some companies even publishe the Q&A where investors ask the jucy questions and this is probably what you are looking for.
