I'm living in Ecuador and want to sell local goods to Americans online. Unfortunately, despite our currency being the US dollar, PayPal does not allow accounts from Ecuador for some reason. Also Kickstarter requires a US bank account as well. How tf am I supposed to get into ecommerce living in a country that is being excluded from doing so? What was the point of switching to the US dollar 15 years ago anyway if no one wants to even fuck with us? Anyway... suggestions on how to operate an online business from a 3rd world country? Much appreciated.

Ask a bank.
Ask your government.
Ask a large company in Ecuador.

Open a formal company and sell abroad through representatives.

Do this.

Meaning? Colombia is even sketchier than it is here.

Some banks here offer means of paying thru paypal via credit card, but no way of receiving payments via paypal. The paypal website doesn't even list Ecuador as an option when opening an account. It's flat out discrimination.
Did I mention that politics & business is all corrupt as hell here? The govt isn't in it to do anyone any favors that aren't paid for unfortunately. Something as simple as selling to America on eBay can become a huge hassle for no reason at all when you're living in a country that protects Assange against the USA's will. Lol
Ask some American ex=pats. I know there are quite a few who retire down there because of the low cost of living. They access their money somehow.
>claim your country is pro free trade
>all the financial infrastructure domiciled in your country deliberately makes it difficult to access that market
