How close are you to reach the 21 BTC dream?

Are you part of the new future elite yet?

For the nocoiners: What method of suicide will you utilize by 2026 when you realize you missed the boat of your life?

>>1460332
I never got that chart.
It's a bunch of stuff followed by the biggest contingency ever. "If 5% of the world market goes into Bitcoin"

In any case, I'm a poorfag college student and have approximately 1/10th of a coin.
>>
The problem with bitcoin is it's inherently classist. Only those with access to moderately high levels of technology can spend or receive it. Only those with access to exceedingly high levels of technology can "mine" it. Heterosexual, middle class or higher white males are disproportionally represented in the demographics of bitcoin users. Bitcoin only serves to uphold the current kyriarchal socioeconomic structures by making sure the privileged become more privileged.

And it's a terrible idea. You spend more on your parents' electricity bill and replacing burnt out GPUs that your parents buy for christmas and birthdays than you actually theoretically make.

Bitcoins are basically just this weird attempt by libertarian children to make their own currency and play stock market and dodge taxes.
>>
>>1460345

>>
I have a second machine I put together with an i5 and rx 480. Can it mine?

I refuse to use my main computer for it.

Bitcoin will be what banks the 4 billion unbanked people in the world you doofus, not Goldman Sachs.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mBc0Zk1YWs

I hope you are trolling or being sarcastic anyway.
>>
>>1460347
Here's the thing. Not everyone can afford computers. But everyone can afford cash. Your average inner-city socioeconomically disadvantaged youth might not be able to afford computers, hardware wallets, and bitcoin is just difficult to use in general without some computer knowledge, something that many disadvantaged people do not have.
>>
>>1460345
Is this some sort of ruse? Even niggers in Africa have smart phones now ,and nobody can mine bitcoins in their bedroom anymore.
>>
>>1460356
Why not ?

>>
>>1460355
so, there are these things called Libraries. You an go there, get on computer, for free. get on the internet for free. You can get a cheap laptop on craigslist for less than 100 bucks. Instead of learning about Basketball and buying weed maybe learn about money and how you are being screwed.
>>
>>1460366
>xmr
I hope you sold already. Buy ETC, it's cheap, wait for the next pump and get more BTC.

>Here's the thing. Not everyone can afford computers. But everyone can afford cash.

Here's the thing: Everyone owns a SMS first generation phone in the third world now, and a single phone with SMS can be a bank in a post-Bitcoin world. Imagine the possibilities.

Also, in 10 years cash will not exist, there's an agenda to get rid of cash. You are out of the loop and the type of moron that always misses the paradigm shifts, fails to capitalize and cries at the people that got rich in the process.

>but muh cash will exist in 10 years

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwkC8WaN5T4&t=30m14s

Get real. The "GovermentCoin" is comming, and people will not magically want to start paying all taxes and stopping having 0 financial freedom. The only alternative will be Bitcoin. Do the math.
>>
>>1460355
>and bitcoin is just difficult to use in general without some computer knowledge, something that many disadvantaged people do not have.
We are still in the early days, this is like complaining the internet is a mess in 1990 and only geeks can use it.

Kys if you use this copeargument again.
>>
>>1460410
Is this how nocoiners cope now?
>>
>>1460454

They'll make BitCoin illegal once GovernmentCoin comes on. The entire reason they're allowing all this coin BS is so the open marketing improves the system before they copy one of the best for their own use.

The government as an entity isn't book smart, but it is cunning and defines the laws which allow it to corner any market. Exactly why they can host lotteries but you can't, despite it not having anything to do with a government's responsibilities. It's easy money, and they want it all.
>>
>>1460360
>>1460379
Do people not know this? Btc difficulty is so high only data centers full of asics can mine anymore. It isn't 2012.
>>
>>1460500

um.. for now.. there is no ONE government.
Thats like if england decided to ban TCP/IP when the internet came out. Thats the fastest way to go from the financial center of the world, to north korea. Lol..
good luck
>>
>>1460518
The only government that needs to make it illegal is yours, then you're stuck with their GovCoin which will likely be pushed by USA, EU, Canada, and AUS. UK might fight it, they fucking love the pound and ditched the EU.
>>
How is this any different than hoarding gold or any other commodity? It's basically faith in higher demand or the world crashing.
>>
>>1460500
>They'll make BitCoin illegal once GovernmentCoin comes on.
They will shut the internet down? because that is the only way to damage it enough, and even then it would still survive.

>>
>>1460656
They don't have to damage it or shut it down at all, just make their citizens face fines for being caught using it plus jailtime for repeat offenders. They'll spout something about it being used on black market for drugs or for corporations to dodge taxes and not nearly enough people will fight them over it.

It's the same approach as:
>Running lotteries
>Casinos
>Marijuana
>Alcohol during prohibition
>Unlicensed Arcades in CA (it costs 35k to let people play videogames at your bar, or go to jail)

They can make whatever they want illegal. They don't have to prevent people from doing it, they can monetize off arresting them.

In any case, working under the counter is illegal, yet the underground economy is huge since tons of people are surviving due avoiding taxes. Do you expect those people to suddendly start paying every single tax, or they will keep going for an alternative?

Not to mention that whales putting their money in Bitcoin would drive the price to the moon, and there is obviously a demand (just look at the Panama papers shit)

Here's a thought. If you don't like your country's currency, use a different currency that doesn't require spending insane amounts of money on electric bills, or even better, don't be a puss and start minting your own black market currency.
>>
>>1461291
I make money elsewhere and don't need this crap.

But you're damn right I'm mad. For one, I'm not some greedy fuck who thinks money I didn't make is somehow a loss. Two, I didn't actually lose any cash because I never trusted the shit enough to go near it.

But I have lost. I have lost precious time reading about it and hearing people cry about one damn crisis after another. I have lost time reading and learning about it and wasting five seconds of faith that it was going anywhere by wrongly dignifying it with legitimate attention. I've wasted countless minutes and calories learning about some faggot nerd shit only to ultimately conclude the whole thing is some autistic online game played by losers who think clever little software exchanges represent wealth.

Hell, I'm wasting time on it right now. It's a fucking black hole that's all about discussions and talk and no god damn actual business.

And then there's always that guy. If you point out any criticism of BTC, some shill jumps in with "it used to be worth nothing and u mad it went to $1k lololololol!"

Just because some poor sap will pay $1k for a bag of shit doesn't make my toilet a gold mine and flushing does not constitute a fortune lost, you daft fucks.

Bitcoin shills are like goldbugs on crack. Its all about being viewed as 'right' no matter how shitty the evidence is. That's what they love more than profit. Its some sort of autistic cult. You can't convince them the hole thing is a waste. Bunk. The currency' of hubris colliding with ignorance. They should have called it BabelCoin.

BTC goes up "I have something people pay for! I'm a genius!"
BTC plummets "It will be worth a fortune any day now"

I cant tell if they are crazy or retarded.
>>
If you can't figure out that buying into a totally faith-based economy, with no regulation whatsoever, of a currency that doesn't even really exist, through a broker that has no compelling reason to give you any of your money back other than possible negative word-of-mouth, is a bad idea, then maybe you should really consider spending less time speculating on BTC stock and more time getting remedial education.

The USD is backed by the "full faith and credit" of the United States of America. That's why our currency is the most desirable and the rest of the world relies on it for trade.

You can spend or receive bitcoin with a smartphone, that's not a particularly high level of technology. Saying the bitcoin is inherently classist is the same as saying clean water is inherently classist because only those with moderately high levels of technology can receive it.

>>1460529

It is alot like that, but for a fact we know that there will only ever be 21 million bitcoin, and there are at least 7 billion people on earth right now. There's not enough to go around.

>>1460667

So true, your gov could easily take steps to make money flow into and out of Bitcoin much harder.

So the prudent move would be to begin mining etherium and work towards converting it to BTC?

99.99% of people can't afford to drop 12k on btc, shows how far ahead in the game you are if you own 21 BTC today, let alone tomorrow.

some of them are scams, some have differences from Bitcoin like private or faster transactions. Most of these will fail, some might remain a more niche cryptocurrency for specific purposes (Monero for privacy for example). I wouldn't put Ethereum in that category though because it's completely different from Bitcoin and serves a different purpose.

Ultimately, Bitcoin has the first mover advantage / network effect going for it and current issues like blocksize will eventually be dealt with.

Is There a Maximum Coin Supply in Dash?

>>1467510
>Monero for privacy for example

Dash (DASH) is an open sourced, privacy-centric digital currency with instant transactions.

Bitcoin is slow and more like gold.
>>
>>1468864
Bitcoin is not slow. Once we hace the lightning network all those excuses will be useless to try to pump coins which have tiny transaction volumes and imply they have it all solved when they haven't even confronted the problems yet.

Bitcoin will also become increasingly more anonymous.

Bitcoin will absorb everything. It is The black hole.

>Dash (DASH) is an open sourced, privacy-centric digital currency
Dash is not good at all at keeping privacy, their technology is shit in that regard. Reason why XMR was adopted by online illegal markets
