got a contract gig for a large sum from them. they were in agreement to pay me for my work up to 200 hrs a month. i maxed it out, they used my work and didn't pay me. also stopped responding to my emails etc

I have part time work at a regional finance/accounting firm so it might be a different experience.
All of the accountants are nice friendly people that simply understand professionalism and aren't idiots. I'm without a doubt the most autistic there and i'm pretty normie. Anything beyond "he's a bit different" will be a big fat no. Because, clients are going to have to get along with you.

2. Be likeable
3. Can you crunch the hours?
4. Have a bachelors in that area
Seeing as you will have 4, the first 2 are what you have to ensure gets through in the interview. Also, all the accountants at my firm are pretty fit/masculine. Maybe it's kind of like IB where everyone goes to the gym or something because it's about competitiveness idk i dont get it.
Also, nobody cares where your degree is from.
