Think about pros and cons. Not playing just for the sake of it is stupid. If it's something you enjoy and can do in moderation or a time frame that doesn't affect your other hobbies or responsibilities, there's no reason not to play.

Stop thinking what other people think, there's no such thing as productive activities. Just things you enjoy doing and feel good about and then those you dont.

You may be able to convince yourself, but unless you have good self control then I wouldn't. Try something more constructive that impresses people. Like learning piano or guitar or a bike ride.

I've relapsed a few times with DOTA and FPS games, but remarkably in less than a month I get so fucking tired of video games again. Between toxic "gamer" communities and developers too busy working on the next DLCs to fix their buggy or unbalanced garbage, it's more frustrating than fun.

game of life is much more rewarding. i still have the 4chan bad habit but it is almost free. games are a release from a boring life imo. make yourself surroundings better and you won't want to escape. took me way to long to realize this learn from my mistakes and don't regret your youth
