Would this be a good way to start my career?
The NZX is New Zealand's stock exchange. They have a 3 year graduate program where you work as a data analyst across a range of markets. The pay is pretty shitty (50-55K starting).
Thoughts? Would I be better off trying to get into a banks graduate program?

I don't know about that position, but that's pretty normal pay for a grad position, and it will go up significantly as you move through the grad program.
Standard grad position pay in Aus is 50-65k depending on industry/position

i'm with anon, Aus grad jobs aren't really much higher than 60k, but they generally rise rapidly from there. 50-55k is pretty normal, and if its what you want to do then definitely try it out.
