Seriously though, what's the best way for a Canadian to find employment in the US? I only have a 2-year CIS diploma from Uni, not a 4 year degree, but I'm willing to work in web dev/software dev or IT for lower wages than American citizens would take. Not looking for poo-tier wages but I'd make a lower wage work and live in a flyover state with low cost-of-living. Are there any good recruiter companies that help Canadians get in touch with American tech companies that want cheaper labour (but still want a white guy who speaks English)?

I work in a big office setting in Vancouver...whenever we put up job postings for positions about 90% of the applicants are foreigners on temporary visas seeking a way to get a permanent residency. Our immigration system is fucked and a whole lot of people need to fuck off back to their own countries. Canada was okay 20 years ago, now there are too many people running away from Ireland, Brazil, Korea and bunch of other shitty countries trying to come here and take jobs from people who grew up here. I only hire people who can speak English clearly and aren't just looking for a job so they can anchor their ass here in Canada.
