So I had an idea /biz/

>Buy some item e.g. laptop
>Scan receipt
>Return laptop a week later for refund
>At end of FY write the laptop off my tax as a business expense

Tax department will go bankrupt.

That's definitely a scam that would work, granted you don't buy 10 laptops per year.
In my country taxis do this all the time to minor their taxes. They know someone with a garage and every few months they "do" something new on the car.
