I decided to actually call one of those problem gambling numbers for once and they recommended I when I said I was feeling like I never wanted to gamble again, but I always feel this way and end up right back at the casino a few weeks later, said write a letter to myself explaining how I feel right now and detail all the problems the gambling is causing. Next time I get the urge to go to the casino they said to read it and hopefully it will help me to be less impulsive.

Spent some 5 years working in the casino industry, so I'm good with not gambling a whole lot.
If I do, I usually just take 40 or 60 bucks and just try to win some beer money. If I win $50, I call it good and stop there.
I've seen people go in thinking they're going to win the money for their car or rent, but end up chasing their loses until their broke.
You stop feeling bad for them pretty quick.

I'm an okay poker player but if I ever get anywhere near virtual blackjack or casino type shit all my money just disappears in minutes. There was one summer where I put £50 on a sports betting site to bet on Cheltenham. I got really lucky and won like £200 per day on the races, but every evening I would lose all the winnings on the mini blackjack thing in the corner
