I'm turning into this guy more and more everyday. I can't put enough of my paycheck into cryptos. I can't take my crypto profits either cause of long term potential for so much more.

weird spot to be in.

About 70% cash right now because I sold out everything before brexit and took a smaller new position after the crash. About 10% physical silver coins (my favorite hobby as much as a decent investment).

Usually as little as possible, maybe ten thousand as a float but that's it.

I can't stand lazy money.

I have quite a bit of liquid right now, though because of a house sale.

20k physical bullion

30k checking/ savings.

How do you go about doing this? My father bought me an APMEX silver coin from my birth year last Christmas and I was wondering how feasible it is as an investment.

I've spoken to almost every coin dealer in my country and I found a few that were willing to sell me lots of foreign silver coins at spot as far as they are able to. My best one sends me 2kg every few weeks. It's a good mix of bullion value silver coins (swizz francs, old british sterling, etc) and more valuable coins going back to the 1700s.

I separate out the really juicy stuff with nice patinas and the rest is bullion I sell for spot in lots when the prices go up.

If you watch local ads, etc you can buy bullion type silver (modern maple leafs, silver eagles, etc) for 90-100% spot price.

Never pay more than a few % above spot if you intend to invest. I see idiots buying "pirate" themed rounds for 30-50% above spot who think they're investing. lol.

Ah shit. But it'll eventually go there again. If you look at silver right now with various lenses, inflation adjusted, silver to gold ratio, etc, it's a good deal.

The only worry on the long term is technology. As you know silver is mainly a byproduct of other metal extraction processes. As technology conquers new previously difficult to mine metals there may be a lot more silver byproduct available.

But I wouldn't in all honesty hold gold, seems overpriced.

I got the gold eagles 1100/oz. Still up.
