He's buying his own company. Is it the right time to buy Solarcity?

Like many good business men he has a too big of an ego to fail => he is saving solar cities ass
>>1327696
by which you mean he knows that solar city will fail if he doesn't bury it in tesla, a money burning venture that makes amtrak look wildly successful.
and if solar city fails, he looks like a tard and people would stop buying his ugly cars.

Yep, this right here. He's dug himself so far into an electric moneypit he can never stop now. This guy's Ken Lay and Jeff Skilling on steroids

It's a branding move and makes a lot of sense.

Yeah, no

>>1327916
maybe you meant to say -$1 billion in profit?
the only thing keeping the company alive is stock sales and borrowings.

Its just a good time to sell Tesla
Tesla is hugely dependant on green subsidies from governments around the world. I think Norway is one of their biggest markets, but that is because a Tesla is tax-free on purchase. This will not last, as the world is about to slide into another depression I predict green subsidies to be among the first things to be cut. If I am right Tesla is in for a huge drop in sales.
